Ramoji Film City, on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway about an hour from the city, is one of the largest film studio complexes in the world and a working studio where films, serials and advertisements are shot every week. The Studio Tour is its standard day ticket — the easiest way to see the sets, shows and gardens in one visit.
Ramoji's vintage buses take you through the film-set areas with a guide, stopping at sets such as the Bahubali set where you can walk around and take photographs. Between tour stops you spend the day at live shows in Eureka, the special-effects shows at Ramoji Movie Magic, the Fundustan play area, and the eco tour of the bird and butterfly parks. It suits families, friends, school groups and anyone with a free day in Hyderabad.

During carnival seasons the park stays open until 9:00 PM. Show times are announced on the day.
After the ticket check at the entrance, Ramoji's buses take you to Eureka, the main visitor area with restaurants and stage shows. The guided bus tour leaves from here at intervals and covers the main set areas; at the bigger stops you get off and explore on foot.
Live shows run at fixed times, so plan around the schedule. Most visitors finish the bus tour by early afternoon and spend the rest of the day at Movie Magic, Fundustan and the eco tour.

Ramoji Film City is on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway. City buses run from Koti, and Ramoji offers a pickup-and-drop AC bus from select Hyderabad points at an extra charge, booked with the tickets. We can also arrange a private car.
The park is open every day from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and until 9:00 PM during carnival seasons. Last entry for the Studio Tour is around 2:00 PM.
Plan a full day. Arriving close to 9 AM lets you finish the bus tour and still enjoy the shows.
No, meals are not part of the standard Studio Tour. The Star Experience includes a buffet lunch.
Shoots happen often, but visitors are kept away from active sets, and photography is restricted where filming is going on.
